Momentum Isn’t Slowing Down
Chaos Rising is off to a strong start. We break down sealed prices, ETB performance, and what Pokemon market momentum means for collectors and investors.

Happy Friday Chasers!

Chaos Rising has arrived TODAY, and there’s already a lot for us to track!
The X community is going crazy over it, and initial numbers are telling us the set is doing even better than expected. At least for day 1, it looks to be a much stronger set than the last release, Perfect Order which in our opinion has been one of Pokemon’s weakest sets in years.
Right now, as prices goes, we are seeing:
Booster Boxes sitting at around $250 up from ~$160 MSRP
Elite Trainer Boxes (ETBs) slightly under $100 up from ~$60 MSRP
Booster Bundles around $50 up from ~$27 MSRP
Definitely not bad at all for release day.
Mega Greninja, as we expected, looks to be the chase card everybody wants right now. The demand is strong, and live streamers are ripping packs at full speed right now which will only decrease supply!
⚫ Pitch Black arrives July 17th

Yes you heard that right! Pitch Black is finally arriving on July 17th featuring Mega Darkrai and over 115 other cards. The set is already making a lot of noise online.
And if social media is any indication…
This looks to be another hot release for the hobby. The artwork has been getting a ton of attention, timelines are buzzing, and the hype feels super strong already.
We personally are LOVING Mega Darkrai 😭
Where The Demand Is Going
Let’s talk about what has been performing right now:
Chaos Rising is obviously doing well so far, but if we’re being honest, most of the demand still feels heavily concentrated around the recent Mega Evolution block released previously.
Indeed, Ascended Heroes is still the king of the hill.
The set has continued to see strong demand, sealed keeps moving, and collectors are still chasing the 22 Special Illustration Rares (SIRs). ETBs are currently sitting at an astonishing $185 which is nearly double the price of the new Chaos Rising ETBs.
We have also seen Phantasmal Flames picking up some steam lately with Booster Boxes at over $450.
And of course:
Scarlet & Violet sets are still outperforming Sword & Shield sets overall. Particularly with 151 and Prismatic Evolution stealing the show thanks to their massive roster of full-art cards and unique styles.
The momentum definitely still feels more concentrated in newer releases. We will personally be careful holding newer sets for too long if the market continues to only chase the brand new shiny things. Scarlet & Violet sets continuing to outperform the rest also tells us that new releases of OG Pokemon is a combination too strong to ignore.
Anyways, enough from us…
