Chase Society operates the website at chasesociety.com and a daily trading-card market newsletter. This page explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and how to exercise your rights. We keep data collection deliberately minimal.
Who we are
Chase Society is the data controller for this site and newsletter. For any privacy request or question, contact contact@chasesociety.com.
What we collect
Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we collect the email address you submit and a record of your consent (double opt-in confirmation). We use it only to send the newsletter you asked for and operational messages about it.
Privacy-friendly analytics. We use aggregate, cookieless usage analytics to understand which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. It does not use tracking cookies, does not build advertising profiles, and does not identify you personally.
Standard server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider processes routine request data (such as IP address and user agent) transiently to serve pages and protect against abuse.
Advertising measurement. When we run paid advertising campaigns, we use the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure the performance of those campaigns, such as how many visitors arrived from an ad and how many went on to subscribe. The pixel sets a first-party cookie and shares limited event data (for example, that a page was viewed or a signup completed) with Meta. We use it for advertising measurement and optimization, not to sell your data.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not require an account to read the site. Aside from the advertising-measurement pixel described above, we do not run additional third-party trackers.
Processors we use
beehiiv delivers the newsletter and stores the subscriber list on our behalf. Vercel hosts the site and provides the privacy-friendly analytics described above. Meta processes advertising-measurement events from the pixel described above when we run paid campaigns. These providers process data only to perform these services.
Retention
We keep your email for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it from the active list. Aggregate analytics contain no personal identifiers.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the one-click link in every newsletter email. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing contact@chasesociety.com. We respond to verified requests promptly.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small amount of first-party local storage for functional preferences, such as remembering your theme choice and whether you have already seen a subscribe prompt today. These values stay on your device and are not used to build a profile of you. When we run paid advertising, the Meta pixel described above sets a first-party cookie used for advertising measurement. Pages hosted by beehiiv on its own domain may set their own cookies under beehiiv’s policy, separate from this site.
Children
The site and newsletter are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
