Market Movers of the Month: Ascended Heroes Takes the Crown
Ascended Heroes led this month’s biggest sealed market gains, with its ETB surging nearly 30% and Booster Bundle prices exploding past retail

Booster Bundles Quietly Beat ETBs
Elite Trainer Boxes (ETBs) got most of the attention this month.
When we tracked the biggest sealed movers across major Scarlet & Violet sets, something interesting showed up:
Booster Bundles quietly outperformed ETBs in 3 of the 4 sets we tracked.
Except for one.
Ascended Heroes completely ignored the script.
Its Elite Trainer Box climbed nearly 30% to $180 making it the biggest sealed mover we tracked this month.
And the hype isn’t limited to just the ETB.
The Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle, released just last month on April 24 with an MSRP around $27, is already trading near $88.
That is more than 3x retail in a matter of weeks.
Same set.
Two key products.
One very clear message:
Buyers want exposure.

ETBs: Ascended Heroes Took the Spotlight
No ETB was even close to Ascended Heroes this month.
The set is still fresh, hype has not cooled off, and buyers are clearly treating the ETB like the premium product to own.
Even with prices moving higher, demand stayed strong. On TCGplayer, roughly 72 ETBs were sold every single day.
ETB Leaderboard
🥇 Ascended Heroes ETB
+30% → $180
🥈 Destined Rivals ETB
+8% → $200
🥉 SV 151 ETB
+7% → $675
📍 Prismatic Evolutions ETB
+3% → $172
Destined Rivals kept quietly moving higher, adding another 8% after a strong run in late April.
Scarlet & Violet 151 feels like a different story. With only 78 ETBs sold over the last 30 days, it doesn’t take much buying pressure to move the price.
Prismatic Evolutions on the other hand feels more settled. Supply is deeper, there is more product available, and momentum has naturally cooled.

Booster Bundles Quietly Stole the Show
This is where things get interesting.
While ETBs grabbed attention, Booster Bundles quietly outperformed in 3 of the 4 sets we tracked.
Booster Bundle Leaderboard
🥇 SV 151 Booster Bundle
+23% → $214
🥈 Destined Rivals Booster Bundle
+19% → $75
🥉 Prismatic Evolutions Booster Bundle

📍 Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle
$88 (Released April 24; Roughly $27 MSRP)

It actually kind of makes sense.
As sets get older, buyers usually tend to lean more toward Booster Bundles.
Why?
They are cheaper to get into, easier to move, and for a lot of collectors, they simply feel like the cleaner way to buy packs.
✅ Better pack per dollar value
✅ Lower entry price
✅ Easier to buy and sell
It would explain exactly why Booster Bundles outperformed ETBs this month.
But then there is Ascended Heroes.
That set just doesn’t care about the rest of the market.
The Booster Bundle launched less than a month ago at around $27 MSRP and is already trading near $90.
Just let that sink in for a moment.
Over 4,200 Booster Bundles have been sold on TCGplayer in the last 30 days, which tells you demand has been otherworldly.
At the same time, buyers are still treating the ETB like the premium product for the set, which explains why both products have soared so high.
Ascended Heroes just decided to ignore the rules.

The Read
Here is our takeaway:
Booster Bundles outperformed ETBs in 3 of the 4 sets we tracked.
That does not necessarily mean they are the better long term hold.
But it’s definitely a signal worth paying attention to.
As sets mature, buyers seem to be shifting toward lower-cost sealed products that are easier to move while offering better pack value.
In other words:
Collector behavior may be changing.
For years, ETBs felt like the obvious sealed play.
But if Booster Bundles keep outperforming once hype settles, they could quietly become one of the more interesting sealed products to watch over the next few years.
That said, Booster Bundles are still relatively new compared to ETBs, so we honestly don’t know how they will age long term.
And then there’s Ascended Heroes, which looks like the exception right now. But we have to keep in mind it only came out a few weeks ago, and with all eyes on the set right now, it’s probably too early to draw big conclusions.
Our Personal Take
We personally love Ascended Heroes and genuinely think it is one of the best modern Pokemon sets ever created, especially with 22 SIRs.
On the other hand, SV 151 just rotated out and is now out of print, while Prismatic Evolutions is expected to go out of print within the next year.
Ascended Heroes is still very new, which makes it exciting, but also means investors and collectors should probably be a little careful in the short term. Historically, newer sets often see periods of cooling off before finding a more stable floor.
Basically, a lot of attention is already priced into the set.
